The Department of Teacher Education at Panchayat College, Bargarh, was established in 2016 as a self-financing initiative, providing a recognized pathway for aspiring teachers to excel in their profession. At present it is offering a Two Year B.Ed. program (self-financing mode) with an intake of fifty (50) students. The program is duly approved and recognized by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi.The program emphasizes comprehensive teacher training, combining theoretical learning with hands-on experience through practical classes and an intensive internship for experiential learning. This ensures our students are well-prepared for the challenges of modern classrooms. The program is affiliated with Sambalpur University and follows an annual examination system.
Admission Procedure, Intake Capacity and Course Fee
The admission to the B.Ed program in Odisha is conducted through a Common Entrance Test (CET) by the Government of Odisha under the Student Academic Management System (SAMS). The entire process, including applications, merit-based selection, counseling, and seat allotment, is managed online through SAMS, ensuring transparency and efficiency. The annual intake for the two-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program is fifty (50) students, and the course fee is-> Rs. 45,000/- per annum, in strict adherence to the guidelines set by the Government of Odisha.
